This year The Red House, Aldeburgh site will be open to visitors every day during the Aldeburgh Festival (9-25 June). We are looking for volunteers to be part of the Festival Team who will play a key role in welcoming and providing a brief orientation of the site for visitors including musicians and artists from all over the world. You will be on hand to answer questions and help visitors discover more about the facilities available and Britten and Pears' life at The Red House and to maintain a level of security and supervision to protect interiors and the collection and be responsible for evacuating visitors in an emergency.
What skills are needed?
This role will suit people with a friendly outgoing manner who enjoy working in a public facing role, have an interest in music, literature, the arts and promoting heritage and are keen to learn and develop knowledge of Britten and Pears.
What skills will be learned / gained?
Full support and training will be provided including familiarisation with the site, customer service training and use of 2-way radios. This is a great opportunity to become part of a friendly and dedicated team, improve your communication and interpersonal skills and gain satisfaction in enhancing the enjoyment of visitors' Festival experience.
